As you all know, Maine is currently experiencing one of the highest COVID infection rates in the country, and we have the highest hospitalization rates we have seen to date. With the Omicron variant now present, there is a real concern this will get worse.
While it is difficult to continue to remain focused on our safety practices, it is particularly important to do so now.
As a reminder, YCCAC staff should continue to do the following:
Wear a mask when in any shared space (in other words, when not in your office or working space). This is true for ALL staff.
Maintain social distancing (6 feet); avoid being within 6 feet of anyone for a total of 15 minutes in a 24-hour period (the definition of a COVID ‘close contact’).
Avoid in-person meetings (even internal meetings); use Zoom.
Where an in-person meeting is necessary, wear a mask and maintain 6 feet separation.
*If it is necessary to meet with staff in-person, please ensure meetings are less than 15 minutes and maintain 6 feet of separation.
Continue to use COVID protective barriers; ask your supervisor if a barrier is possible in your area if you don’t have one.
Wash hands regularly (soap and water for 20 seconds), use hand sanitizer.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Please do not come to work if you are not feeling well.
As a reminder, Nasson, Head Start classrooms and Transportation vehicles have own guidelines.
Thank you for adhering to our safety practices during this challenging time.
