YCCAC was notified on November 25 that the organization had achieved 100% compliance on the CSBG Organizational Standards Review. A report of the findings was released in a letter to Executive Directors Barbara Crider. The letter read:
Dear Ms. Crider,
Thank you again for your agency’s collaboration and participation in the October 8-9, 2019, CSBG on-site monitoring visit and review. Attached please find our final report. We congratulate your agency for achieving 100% compliance on all 58 Organizational Standards. We greatly appreciate the time and attention you and members of your staff provided, in order for us to complete this important process.
A review and evaluation of our Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) is required every three years by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Monitors from DHHS spent two days in October reviewing YCCAC on 58 Organizational Standards. The evaluation covered seven categories, each of which contained specific criteria for review and evaluation. Reviewers documented their findings using the Programmatic Monitoring and Standards Assessment Tool and Report (PMSATR), which include indicators to verify that YCCAC had operationalized and complied with each standard. Examples of the Standards are:
· The organization demonstrates low-income individuals’ participation in its activities
· The organization communicates its activities and its results to the community
· The organization conducted a community assessment and issued a report within the past
3 years
· The organization’s Community Action plan is outcome-based, anti-poverty focused, and
ties directly to the community assessment
· The organization has an agency-wide strategic plan in place that has been approved by the
governing board within the past five years
· The governing board annually approves an organization-wide budget.
