The 2020 United Way Campaign is underway. York County Community Action has long partnered with United Way to help advance its Mission, “to connect people and resources to improve lives and create better communities.” YCCAC programs currently supported by York County United Way include Transportation (Volunteer Drivers), Children’s Services, and Economic Opportunity (HOPE Fund).
This year will be particularly difficult for United Way to raise the funds it needs to support the many organizations it assists. The global pandemic has made it impossible to hold on-site rallies, deliver in-person testimonials, or arrange for volunteer “ambassadors” to meet with prospective donors. United Way has had to adjust to an environment that could hardly have been imagined a year ago.
To that end, United Way has created an online pledge form, which is virtually identical to the paper form, with a few small differences. These are:
~To get to the pledge form, you need first to register for an electronic signature. You can do that HERE.
~Most of the upper section of the form needs to be completed, including a middle name initial and an apartment number. If you don’t have an apartment number, enter 0. You also must include your birth date.
~Your signature is electronic—you’ve already registered for this. When you sign, if any required information has not been entered, you will be directed back to the window(s).
~When you click Finish at the bottom of the page, a copy of your pledge is delivered to United Way. YCCAC needs a copy as well, to make the payroll deduction beginning January 1, 2021.
· Click Finish Click Download Click Show in Folder. Select your file and right click Send a copy of the form by email to me at bradb@yccac.org. You should also send a copy to your email address, for your records.
