Message from the Deputy Director

I wanted to update you on masking requirements at YCCAC. As you may have seen, the CDC recently revised its masking guidelines. Based on these changes, we are revising our policy to allow staff who have been fully vaccinated and received a booster to go without masks in non-public areas.

Here are the updated guidelines. These will take effect next Monday, March 14.

· YCCAC staff will continue to wear masks when meeting with clients/patients and in common areas accessed by the public (e.g., reception, hallways accessed by the public). Please ask your Department Director for guidance if you are unsure about what constitutes a ‘public area’ in your department.

· Staff who have been fully vaccinated and received a booster may go without masks in non-public areas. (Of course, people may choose to continue to wear a mask based on their personal preference and informed by their personal level of risk.)

· All members of the public age two and older will continue to be required to wear a mask.

If you have already received your COVID-19 booster, please provide Christy Grugnale, Human Resource Coordinator, with your updated vaccine card or documentation of a booster. If you went to Nasson Health Care for your booster, or if you have already provided this information to Human Resources, there is no need for you to contact Christy.

Here is Christy’s contact information:

Christy.Grugnale@yccac.org

207-459-2911 or internal ext. 2911

This is a really good time to get a booster if you haven’t already received one. Nasson is still providing COVID-19 boosters and you can make an appointment at nassonhealthcare.org. or by calling 490-6900.

Thanks, everyone. I know this is a welcome change. Please let Michelle Fleagle, our interim HR Director, know if you have any questions.

Carter
