Important Message About CMS Vaccine Requirement for YCCAC Staff

To All YCCAC Staff:

I wanted to share an important update regarding the CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Vaccine Requirement.

At this time, we are required to adhere to this mandate which requires all YCCAC staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

1. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

All YCCAC staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, without the option for weekly testing. ‘All staff’ includes all employees, even those currently working remotely.

2. WHAT ARE THE DEALINES FOR STAFF TO GET THEIR VACCINE?

By January 10th, all staff who haven’t already done so, are required to provide proof of vaccination to HR or receive the first dose of the vaccine. (This includes the one dose of the J&J). All staff will be required to be fully vaccinated by February 9th.

Staff may schedule the vaccine at Nasson Health Center directly by calling 490-6900 or can also schedule an appointment on-line by visiting: www.nassonhealthcare.org. Other locations and pharmacies within York County are also offering the vaccine.

3. ARE THERE EXEMPTIONS AVAILABLE?

Staff may submit a request for a religious or medical exemption. Staff must request the exemption forms by contacting Christy Grugnale @ Christy.grugnale@yccac.org or may call her directly @ 459-2911.

Exemptions must be requested and submitted prior to January 10th.

(*Head Start staff are required to adhere to the Office of Head Start mandate/timelines. )

It is possible the mandate may change again, however, we must act now in order to ensure we are in compliance.

Please contact your Program Director or HR if you have any questions regarding the mandate.

We recognize the pandemic continues to be a trying time for all of us.
